                   PLA PLASTIC

PLA is a thermoplastic polyester made from renewable resources like corn starch or sugar cane, therefore also known
as "bioplastic". It is biodegradable and has similar properties as petroleum-based plastics, like polypropylene (PP) or
polyethylene (PE). The most common uses of PLA include plastic films, bottles, and biodegradable medical devices,
while PLA fibre can also replace non-renewable polyester textiles.
